bella2.0

BELLA 2.0

  • female, 21 months old

Bella is spayed, current on shots, also current on flea & heartworm preventative meds. Bella gets along well with all dogs, as well as cats. She is a little shy with visitors (at first) but is very friendly with people once she warms up to them. Very loyal to her owner, she likes to stay nearby. She LOVES to play fetch, and will actually give the ball/toy back to you each time! She will sit & stay for treats, and she responds to “no”. She has never been kenneled or even left at home alone overnight before, so there will need to be patience and understanding on the part of the foster or shelter during transition.
She needs some help with potty training and harness/leash training. She has been wearing a harness successfully for about 2 weeks now, but is still uncertain about walking on the leash. She has a nice, big fenced yard, but has regressed to having daily accidents indoors in recent months. She has never been crate trained. She has great herding instincts and craves a job(s) to focus on. She has been lavished with daily affection, lots of petting and belly rubs. She is very motivated by food. She's a little overweight, however part of her overweight look is because of her very short, wide structure. Bella is a beautifully marked, true cattle dog. She's charming, very energetic, loyal, and she does have a loud, sometimes startling bark.

New Hope Cattle Dogs Rescue vets all puppies and dogs to include: spay/neuter, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordatella), de-worm, heartworm check (if appropriate), and microchip. Dogs come with a crate, bed, collar, leash, food, bowls, and vet records. The crate is returned upon completion of the trial adoption.

MS. PICKLES

  • female, 3 years old

Pickles! This 3 year old gal is an absolute love dove with a big personality. She's smart, happy, bouncy and active and SO relieved to finally be away from the life of a backyard breeder. She LOVES walks, is good on the leash, knows sit and shake, is house-trained and is eager to learn and to please. Pickles is a big fan of other dogs, and chases her furry friends in fun little "yard dashes". She is the well-renowned inventor of the "Find the Dog Bowl" game. She hides them in ingenious spots around the house and yard and then likes to watch her poor foster mother search for them come mealtimes. This friendly little pooch would love to find her forever home and start her new life. Pickles! This 3 year old gal is an absolute love dove with a big personality. tundra

TUNDRA

  • female, 8 years old

Tundra is a pure bred blue heeler born in February 2007. Her owner was a partially disabled, older man living in a one bedroom apartment. He died in May and we have been taking care of Tundra and trying to find her a good home. She is a great dog but we already have a needy dog and are too old to give Tundra the attention she deserves.

She is neutered and chipped. All shots are up to date and a heart worm test was done in May 2015. Has a current City of Boulder license. Have five months of heart worm pills. It is possible she would need a boardatella (sp) shot if she was going to be boarded.

She is ok with other dogs (could be bossy), cats and children. Would not recommend with toddlers due to herding instinct.

Lucky

LUCKY

  • female, 7-8 years old

Talk about Lucky! I am a beautiful, smart, funny, active and affectionate 8 year old girl who lost my family through no fault of my own. Apparently I'm blind, but I don't act it at all. I prefer a home with another dog, or two, and even a cat, but probably not little kids. I am very assertive but not at all aggressive. I am fearless yet very low maintenance. I look forward to seeing you! HA!

Thank you Amy for taking my photo!
